Welcome

The village lies within the Aylesbury Vale district of Buckinghamshire, England, near the border of Oxfordshire, about five miles west of Aylesbury and five miles north-east of Thame.
The village name 'Winchendon' originates from Anglo Saxon, meaning 'hill at a bend'. The Winchendon villages were recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Wincandone.
For such a small village of about 50 houses and a population of approximately 120, Nether Winchendon is a very active community. St Nicholas Church lies at its heart and is both a lively church and the village meeting place.
